GST: How does default Tax Code work

Question: What is the priority of tax code as I can see that default tax code can be maintained at several places such as Debtor Maintenance, Stock Item Maintenance, Account Maintenance & Tax Code maintenance?

Answer:

For Sales & Purchase documents, the priority will be given in the following order.

For GL, AR and AP entries, priority will be given in the following order.

Note: Please be aware that even though default tax code is set, you are able to select other tax code during transaction/entry.
