Troubleshooting: Preview Report error - Unable to read beyond the end of the stream

Question: When preview any report, system prompted application error “Unable to read beyond the end of the stream.” Why?

Version: 1.8 / 1.9 / 2.0

Possible Reason:

.Net Framework issue.


Solution:

Reinstall .Net Framework 4.8. Then restart computer.

Or uncheck .NET Framework 3.5 and .NET Framework 4.8 from Window Features, and restart computer.
After restart check both .NET Framework and click on OK.
