Troubleshooting: Why I couldn't delete Item Code

Question: Item code cannot be deleted. Error message prompted: "The value of column ItemCode and UOM in table Purchase Invoice detail does not exist in its master file"

Version: 1.8 / 1.9 / 2.0

Possible Reason:

The stock item was used in some transactions, and may be referred in some database table. That's why the item code is not allowed to be deleted.

Solution:

1. Make sure there was no transaction involving this item before you can delete it.

2. Set the item to inactive in Item Maintenance.
