Troubleshooting: Backup error – I/O error occur on File “C:\temp\xxxx bhd….

From AutoCount Resource Center

Question: When I backup I got this application error “Unknown SQL Exception… failed to retrieve for this error”. Why?

Version: 1.8 / 1.9 / 2.0

Possible Reason:

This is mostly because of local disk space (local disk C) already full.

Solution:

Change temp folder and your backup location to local disk D.

1. Click on Option to change Temporary backup directory.

2. Click on Browse to select temporary backup folder and click on OK to save your setting.

3. Click on Browse to change your backup directory.

4. Click on Update, change backup directory to another drive, click on OK for twice to close the windows box.

Click on Backup To button to backup. You will be able to backup now.

Note: Please seek assistance from your software dealer if the problem still persists after performing the steps as above.
