Troubleshooting: Create account book error – A file activation error occurred. The physical file name ‘(local)..’ may be incorrect

Question : When I create new account book, error prompted: ‘A file activation error occurred. The physical file name ‘(local)\A2006\AED_ABC_Data.mdf’ may be incorrect. Diagnose and correct additional errors, and retry the operation. CREATE DATABASE failed. Some files names listed could not be created. Check related errors.’ What should I do?

Version : 1.8 / 1.9 / 2.0

Possible Reason : When creating account book, the system will create and auto assign new account book database to this path - C:\AutoCount Data. The user may have amended this path to become an invalid path.

Solution :

Type C:\AutoCount Data in the Database Folder and you should be able to create the new account book. Or you may create the AutoCount Data folder in your preferred drive, then assign the path at Database Folder when creating new account book.
