Troubleshooting Payroll: Failed to restore - C:\Program Files (x86)\AutoCount\Payroll\Backup\$$ APP$$.$$$

Question : When I restore my backup file, error message prompted “cannot open backup file C:\Program Files (x86)\AutoCount\Payroll\Backup\$$_APP$$.$$$”.


Possible Reason :

Your Payroll application did not run as Administrator.


Solution :

1) Right click the payroll icon and select properties.


2) Go for tab Compatibility and check the checkbox of Run this program as an administrator. Then click on Apply and OK.


3) Try to login and restore backup file again and it shall successful.
