Troubleshooting: Payment amount is not auto updated from cash book detail

Question: When I key in Cash Book Entry, why is the payment amount not auto updated after I keyed in Amount in Cash Book detail? The other account book can auto update.

Version: 1.8 / 1.9 / 2.0

Possible Reason :

You did not enable the option “Enable Auto Update First Payment Amount in Cash Book entry”.

Solution :

1) Go to Tools > Option > G/L > G/L Posting, check the checkbox “Enable Auto Update First Payment Amount in Cash Book entry and click on OK.

2) Recreate your Cash Book, and now the Payment Amount is auto update.
