Troubleshooting: Unable to start SQL Server services

Question: After PC Windows update, the SQL Server (A2014) services unable to start. Why?

Version: 1.8 / 1.9 / 2.0


Possible Reason:

All protocols are disabled or the SQL Server instance is corrupted.


Solution (1):

1) Open SQL Configuration Manager by searching SQLServerManager12.msc.


Remark:


2) Go to SQL Server Network Configuration > Protocols for A2014, right click and enable all the protocols.





3) Now you should be able to start the services for SQL Server (A2014).



Solution (2):

Reinstall SQL Server 2017 or above.


Note: Please seek assistance from your software dealer if the problem still persists after performing the suggested steps.
