Report Design: Export Standard Ledger (Descriptive) to excel some description show empty

Question: When I export Standard Ledger (Descriptive) to excel, some descriptions are not shown. What can I do?

Version: 1.8 / 1.9 / 2.0

Answer:

This report field xrDesc2 did not set to Can Shrink.

1) Go to Report > Design Ledger Report, click on Standard Ledger (Descriptive), and click on Edit.

2) Click on the field ‘xrDesc2’, at report properties, check the checkbox of ‘Can Shrink’. Then save into new report name.

3) Preview using the new report and export to Excel again. Now the description is shown.

You may also update version to 2.1.7.22 or later, system report will set the xrDesc2 to Can Shrink.
