From AutoCount Resource Center

Question: Why there is an error message prompted “cannot set ‘DocNo’. The value violates the MaxLength limit of this column.”when I click on finish at GST Processor Wizard?

Version: 1.8 / 1.9 / 2.0

Possible Reason:

The document numbering format for the journal entry have exceed its 20-character limit and system does not allow new journal to be saved.

Solution:

Change the numbering format for journal to maximum 20 characters only.

1. Go to General Maintenance > Document Numbering Format Maintenance.

2. Click on G/L.

3. Click on Journal Entry.

4. Select numbering format & double click to edit.

5. Make sure the format string is less than or equal to 20 characters and click on OK to save the format.

Run your GST Processor again and it should be working fine now.
