Question: When I try to install SQL manually, there is an error message “There are validation error on this page…Attributes not match” prompted. What should I do?
Version: 1.8 / 1.9 / 2.0
Possible Reason:
The SQL folder is being compressed. Once the folder is compressed, it couldn’t be extracted and installed.
Solution:
De-compress the SQL Server folder.
Go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server, right click and select Properties
Under General tab, click on Advanced.
Un-check option “compress content to save disk space” and click on OK.
Note: If your SQL server is 32 bits, go to C:\Program Files (x 86)\Microsoft SQL Server and follow the the same steps.
Then, re-run the SQL installer.
