Question: When I try to enable TCP/IP for SQL Server Configuration Manager, system prompted error - Access is denied. Why?


Possible Reason:

The windows user does not have access right permission to enable TCP/IP.


Solution:

1) Run SQL Server Configuration Manager as Administrator.


2) Key in password for the user.


3) Right click and enable TCP/IP.


4) User shall now be able to enable TCP/IP for SQL Server Configuration Manager.



Please remember to restart the Services.
