Question: Why am I not able to open document, error prompted “The socket connection was aborted. This could be caused by an error processing your message or a received timeout being exceeded by the remote host, or an underlying network resource issue.”.

Possible Reason:

Unable to connect to AutoCount Server service, most probably you have set an invalid port number, firewall not open or blocked by antivirus.

Solution:

1) Right click on AutoCount Server and select AutoCount Server Setting, check the port number, default is 19500.

In the account book, go to Tools > Options > General > Miscellaneous, make sure the port is 19500.

2) Add port 19500 for TCP Firewall.

3) Set up an exception for the Antivirus.

4) Restart AutoCount Server Services, and re-login AutoCount.

Note: Please seek assistance from your software dealer if the problem still persists after performing the suggested steps.
