Question : How to use the early out/lateness setting in rule maintenance?

Answer :

This setting is for user to set whether allowed early out/lateness can be rounding or not.

Now you can select either roundup or no round. If select roundup, kindly also select the rounding time.

For example, the ‘shift in’ time set as 9:00 am; the ‘shift out’ time at 6:00pm with lateness buffer 15 mins

Below scenario is example for early out/lateness setting

(a) If you set as No Rounding.

Clock in at 9.32 am and clock out at 5.18 pm

09.32am – 09.00am = 32 minutes.

06.00pm- 05.18pm = 42 mins

In the attendance transaction, it will be showing late in 32 mins and early out for 42 mins

(b) If you set as Round up with 15 Minutes.

Clock in at 9.41 am and clock out at 5.12 pm

09.41am – 09.00am = 41 minutes => Round up 15 mins => 45 minutes

06.00pm- 05.12pm = 48 minutes => Round up 15 mins => 1 Hour

In the attendance transaction, it will be showing late in 45 mins and early out for 1 hour
