FA Troubleshooting: Unable to change asset type in Asset Maintenance

Question : Why can’t I change my asset type in the Asset Maintenance?

Possible Reason :

You may have posted the depreciation for this asset.

Solution :

In order to change the Asset Type, you must cancel all the depreciation posting for this asset.

1) Go to Asset > Depreciation Posting.

2) Filter the asset and click on Inquiry. Then click on Cancel Posting for those deprecation has Posted.

3) Then go back to the asset maintenance, and you shall able to change the asset type now.
