Others: How to install different versions of AutoCount in one computer

Question: How to install 2 or more different versions of AutoCount in one computer? Because when I install another version, it will replace the existing version.

Version: 1.8 / 1.9 / 2.0 / 2.1

If the computer is 64-bit operating system, you can install both 32-bit and 64-bit of AutoCount versions.

1) Check the current installed AutoCount bit.

AutoCount 32 bit or 64bit in version 1.9 can be seen in the middle of login screen.

AutoCount 32 bit or 64bit in version 2.0 or above can be checked at the top right corner of login screen.

If there is nothing stated, meaning the AutoCount is using 32-bit.

2) Install another bit of AutoCount.
For example: if the computer previously installed 64-bit AutoCount, then now you may install 32-bit of AutoCount for another version. Then you will have 2 different version of AutoCount, one in 32-bit and another in 64-bit.

If the computer is 32-bit operating system, you can install only 32-bit AutoCount versions.

Most commonly you have already installed both (or either) 32-bit and 64-bit of AutoCount, and you wish to install another version of AutoCount.

1) Go to this path: C:\Program Files\AutoCount in file explorer.

2) Right click and rename the AutoCount folder to any other name, for example from ‘Accounting 2.1’ to ‘Accounting 2.1 rev 26’.

3) Now user may install another version of AutoCount and the existing ‘Renamed’ folder will not be replaced.

4) After installed another AutoCount version, go to this path: C:\Program Files\AutoCount\Accounting 2.1 rev 26, the folder that you have renamed just now.
Look for Accounting.exe application.

Then, right click on it and select Send to > Desktop (create shortcut).

5) Now your desktop will have 2 shortcut icons, one is for newly install version and another for earlier installed version. You may rename them if necessary.
