Pos3/5/FNB: Line Printed, cannot set discount on this line

Question :

When I tried to edit the price for item in POS, error message prompted ‘Line printed, cannot set discount on this line’ / ‘Line printed, cannot delete this line’ and I can’t even change the unit price for an item. What should I do?


Possible Reason :

You didn’t enable the option of ‘Print receipt after made payment’. When this option is not enabled, system will print the item line by line every time you enter or scan an item. Thus, system wouldn’t allow you to change the item details as the item detail already printed.


Solution :

Pos3.0/3.1

In POS, Click on More Function > Configuration Settings, then go to Receipt Tab and check the option of ‘Print receipt after made payment


Next, click on ‘OK. Then log out and log in POS.

You will be able to edit the item details in POS system now.


Pos 5 /F&B

Login to POS /FNB Backend > Point Of Sales > Maintenance > Terminal Settings Maintenance

Old version: Login to POS /FNB Backend > Point Of Sales > Pos Option Maintenance

Click edit your Option ID


Under the Receipt (Character Based) Tab , tick the option of 'Print receipt after made payment' and save it.


Then perform speed sync at your terminal. Then logout and login back your POS/FNB System.

You will be able to edit the item details in POS system now.
