Report Design: How to do the report design with 2 columns

Question : I wish to print Chart of Account without currency and special account info. Having removed these 2 fields the area on the right is empty; how can I make use of the space and show the report with 2 columns?

Version : 1.8 / 1.9 / 2.0

Answer :

1) Go to report design > Select the detail band that you wish to show in 2 columns > Click the small arrow > then change the Column Count to 2

2) The Multi-Column Layout you may choose First Down, then Across OR First Across, then Down

3) Go to File > Save as…, save as a new report file name.

4) Preview with the new report, you can see the format with 2 columns with the layout First Down, then Across.
