Troubleshooting:The Network Name cannot be Found

From AutoCount Resource Center

Question: When I start AutoCount Accounting, it prompt me an error “The network name cannot be found” and link me to re-attach my account book. After I attached, I am able to login but every time when I logout and relogin, it will prompt me with this error again. What should I do to fix this?

Version: 1.8 / 1.9 / 2.0

Possible Reason:

This is most probably that the system unable to detect your Account Book Control File (DMF) from the path that you had specified during first time setup.

Solution:

Go to C:\ProgramData\AutoCount\Accounting, locate the file A2006.config (a type of XML Configuration File). Delete this file and re-setup again the account book login screen. Alternatively, you can edit the file using notepad and change the path to an existing path in your pc.

Recommended Practice:

During first time setup, avoid choosing the option Create or Open Account Book Control File in a network shared folder. It would be easier if you select the first option to create at own PC machine. If you wish to use the 2nd option as stated, always make sure your network is stable and the path mapping does not change.
