Troubleshooting:Unable to delete account no. 321-0000. The reason is the account no. 321-0000 has been used in Location

Question : I’m trying to delete 321-0000 CASH IN HAND 2 account but system prompted message “Unable to delete account no. 321-0000. The reason is the account no. 321-0000 has been used in Location”

Version : 1.8 / 1.9 / 2.0

Possible Reason :

The account has been used in Location, so you cannot delete it.

Solution :

1) Go to Stock > Stock Location Maintenance

2) Select the location and click on Edit

3) Go to Pos Posting Setting tab, found that the account CASH IN HAND 2 has assigned as Cash Payment Method.

4) Change it to other payment method and click on OK

Note: If you have various location, you are required to check it accordingly.

You should able to delete the account at Account Maintenance after above action is performed.
