Troubleshooting: Backup Error - Error occur when zipping files. File is not found...

Question : Error message prompted when backup from client pc: Error occur when ziping files. File is not found. Most probably is you didn’t specify the Server Database info correctly. Could not find file ‘C:\tmp\xxx backup at 2020-03-04…

Possible Reason :

You did not enable use ‘WinRAR to compress’ (at Auto Count Backup Server).

Solution :

1) At Server, search for AutoCount Backup Server at Windows search, then open the AutoCount Backup Server Monitor.

2) At TaskBar, click to show hidden icons, right click on the green camera icon and select Open AutoCount Backup Server Setting.

3) At AutoCount Backup Server Setting, check the checkbox of use WinRAR to compress, and click on Free Download WinRAR.

It will open a link to Please download the installer and install WinRAR.

If your AutoCount Accounting version is earlier than, you need to install WinRAR version not later than 5.40. As this link connects to the latest version and beta version of WinRAR, for earlier version you may search online for WinRAR 5.40 installer.

4) After installed WinRAR, key in the WinRAR Directory, then click on Validate Path. Once the validation is successful, click on OK. Then click on Save and Apply.

You may proceed to perform backup from client pc after completed the setting as mentioned above.

Note : Please seek assistance from your software dealer if the problem still persists after performing the suggested steps.
