Troubleshooting: Change Project Number error-String or binary data would be truncated

Question: When I try to change project number, an error message prompted: “String or binary data would be truncated.”

Version: 1.8 / 1.9 / 2.0

Possible Reason:

This account book is installed with Asset Register plug in, you have extended project number character in AutoCount Management Studio, but did not extend it in Asset Register project number field length.

Solution:

Go to Asset Register > Setting > Others, change the number to 50, click on Apply, and Yes. Click on Save and click on OK.

Try again to change project number, now should be able to change.
