Question: I have created a journal on depreciation of fixed asset, but in Depreciation & Net Book Value report the depreciation amount is not shown in the column of “This Year Depreciation”.

Version: 1.8 / 1.9 / 2.0 / 2.1

Possible Reason:

The link between Fixed Asset and its Accumulated accounts is not properly set or the link is broken.

Solution:

Go to GL > Account Maintenance > Others > Maintain Fixed Asset Links.

Click on “+”, select the asset account and Accum. Depreciation account for Furnitures & Fittings, then click on Save.

Refresh (Inquiry) the Depreciation & Net Book Value report, now the depreciation column is updated.
