Troubleshooting: Find or Search Item error - Execution Timeout Expired

Question: When search stock item, the system fails to load the item and prompted error “Error occurred during processing request (Execution Timeout Expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation, or the server is not responding….)”. Why?

Version: 1.8 / 1.9 / 2.0 / 2.1

Possible Reason:

Too many records of items in database and the searching needs longer time.


Go to Tools > Options > General > Application Settings, extend it to maximum “7200” seconds for Search Command Timeout, then click on OK.

You should be able to search that item if the time required does not exceed 7200 seconds.
