Troubleshooting: Item Opening Balance Maintenance error – Location is not in the Filter range

Question: When I reselect location in Item Opening Balance, error prompted “Location is not in Filter range.”

Version: 1.8 / 1.9 / 2.0 / 2.1

Possible Reason:

You have filtered only location HQ and currently you are trying to change it to other location - KL.


If you wish to change it to other location, the new location must be included in the filtering. This is to ensure it does not have record for this location.

You may use filter by range or filter by multi select.

After filter HQ and KL, click on Apply Filter.

Make sure there is no records in KL for item 0001.

Now you can change the existing record from HQ to KL for item 0001, then click on Save.
