Troubleshooting: Login error - Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation

From AutoCount Resource Center

Question: Why there is an error prompted “Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.” When I want to login AutoCount?

Version: 1.8 / 1.9 / 2.0


Possible Reason (1):

.Net Framework version does not match AutoCount’s version.


Solution (1):

Reinstall .Net Framework accordingly to the version required for the AutoCount.
For AutoCount 2.0 at least .Net Framework 4.6.1.
For AutoCount 1.8 / 1.9 at least .Net Framework 4.0.
You may install higher version.


Possible Reason (2):

AutoCount unable to detect .Net Framework.


Solution (2):

Fixed the .Net Framework.

1) Go to Control Panel.


2) Go to Uninstall a program.


3) Go to Turn Windows features on or off.


4) Uncheck .NET Framework 3.5 and .NET Framework 4.8, and restart computer. After restart check both .NET Framework and click on OK.


Then try to login AutoCount.


Note: Please seek assistance from your software dealer if the problem still persists after performing the suggested steps.
