Troubleshooting: Profit & Loss Statement and Balance Sheet did not show Stock At The End of Year (Use Live Stock)

Question: Why is Profit and Loss Statement not showing Stock At The End of Year even I have enabled ‘Use Live Stock Balance in all Financial Reports’?

Version: 1.8 / 1.9 / 2.0

Possible Reason :

You do not assign the balance stock account at Default Accounts and Stock Group Maintenance.

Solution :

Go to Tools > Options > G/L> Default Accounts > Balance Stock Account for Live Stock Balance, select your Closing Stock account and click on OK.

Secondly, go to Stock > Stock Group Maintenance, make sure all stock groups are assigned with ‘Balance Stock Account Code’.
