From AutoCount Resource Center

Question: When I try to create or restore a new database, system shows me an error: The file ‘C:\AutoCount Data\AED_AAA.Data.mdf” is compressed but does not reside in a read-only database or file group. The file must be decompressed...What should I do?

Version: 1.8 / 1.9 / 2.0

Possible Reason:

AutoCount Data folder is being compressed. Once the folder is compressed, it cannot be restored or you can not create a new database under this folder.

Solution:

Decompress the AutoCount Data Folder.

Go to C:\AutoCount Data, right click on AutoCount Folder and click on Properties.

Click on Advanced.

Uncheck the Compress contents to save disk space and click on OK to save the setting.

You will be able to restore or create a new database under AutoCount Data folder.
