From AutoCount Resource Center

Question: When I install SQL Server, there is an error message - Service ‘SQLBrowser’ start request failed. Why?

Version: 1.8 / 1.9 / 2.0

Possible Reason:

SQL Server Resolution Protocol in the Operating System is disabled. SQL Browser cannot look for the registry it wants.

Solution:

1) Turn on Regedit.msc and please backup the registry.

2) Go to the path,
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server

Double click on IsListenerActive, changed the value from Yes to No, and click on OK.
