Question: When I try to save A/P Payment, system prompted error “Cannot set column ‘DealWith’. The value violates the MaxLength limit of this column.”?

Version: 1.9

Possible Reason:

This is a known bug where A/P Payment character limit (80 character) is less than Creditor Company Name (100 character). This bug is fixed in version 1.9.010.43.

Solution (1):

Look into Creditor Maintenance, examine the creditor name, shorten creditor name if it is too long, and remove unnecessary empty spacing.

Solution (2):

Update to Version 1.9.010.43 or later, and you should be able to Save the A/P Payment.
