From May 30, 2022, ​​Google no longer supports the use of third-party apps or devices which ask you to sign in to your Google Account using only your username and password.
User has turned on 2-Step Verification in google account.

Generate an application password to be used in AutoCount. App Passwords can only be used with accounts that have 2-Step Verification turned on.
<u><b>Solution (1):</b></u>


<span style='color:red'>Turn off 2-Step Verification</span> in your google account
To generate application password, please go to your google account.

Once turn off the 2-Step Verification in your google account, you will able to see “Allow less secure apps” setting and you can <span style='color:red'>turn it ON</span>.




Go to <span style='color:red'>Security > 2-Step verification</span>, login your gmail, scroll down to look for <span style='color:red'>“App passwords”</span>.

<u><b>Solution (2):</b></u>

Generate an application password to be used in AutoCount.

To generate application password, please go to your google account.

Go to Security, at the “Signing in to Google” section, click on <span style='color:red'>“App passwords”</span>, and login again your gmail.

Select the <span style='color:red'>App(Mail)</span> and <span style='color:red'>Device (Windows Computer)</span>, after that click on <span style='color:red'>“Generate”</span> to generate application password.
Key in the <span style='color:red'>App name</span> and click on <span style='color:red'>Create</span>.

<span style='color:red'>Copy the app password</span> use it in AutoCount.
<span style='color:red'>Copy the app password</span> and use it in AutoCount batch mail.

Question: There is no “Allow less secure apps” in google account when want to use Gmail to send batch mail in AutoCount. Why?

Possible Reason :

From May 30, 2022, ​​Google no longer supports the use of third-party apps or devices which ask you to sign in to your Google Account using only your username and password.


Solution :

Generate an application password to be used in AutoCount. App Passwords can only be used with accounts that have 2-Step Verification turned on.

To generate application password, please go to your google account.


Go to Security > 2-Step verification, login your gmail, scroll down to look for “App passwords”.



Key in the App name and click on Create.


Copy the app password and use it in AutoCount batch mail.


At Mail Options, paste the password. Users are now able to use gmail account in AutoCount batch mail.
