Troubleshooting: Unable to find item batch no column in Sales order

Question: Why can’t I find the column of item batch no in Sales Order detail panel? I can find it in DO or Invoice.

Version: 1.8 / 1.9 / 2.0

Possible Reason:

As Sales Order has no effects on inventory movement and G/L entries, it is meant for documents flow, thus there is no need to assign batch no. here. That's why the system does not show you the column for item batch to select.
