Troubleshooting: Unable to select deposit account in New A/R Deposit

Question: Why Can't I select deposit account from the drop-down list in New A/R Deposit?

Version: 1.8 / 1.9 / 2.0


Possible Reason:

You have not maintained special account of Deposit. That’s why there is nothing to be selected in New A/R Deposit


Solution:

1. To maintain special account of Deposit, go to G/L > Account Maintenance.



2. Click on Bank, Cash, Deposit and choose for Deposit Account.



3. You should be able to select Deposit Account now.



Note: If your Deposit account is created as normal account, the account cannot be chosen in A/R Deposit Entry.
