Question : I’ve created an user-defined account type under Balance Sheet and a debit entry transaction was entered. Why it is shown in negative amount when I preview the Balance Sheet report? I’ve set it as an asset group and it should show the balance in positive.

Version : 1.8 / 1.9 / 2.0

Possible Reason :

You didn’t set correctly the Display as Positive setting.

Solution :

In Balance Sheet report, go to Other Settings > Set Account Group, change the Display as Positive from Credit to Debit, and click on Save.

Preview again the Balance Sheet report, now it should show in Positive amount.
