Troubleshooting Payroll: Login Error - Unable to connect to database server
Question: Why I failed to login AutoCount Payroll? An error prompted ‘Unable to connect to database server. Please check firebird Server 2.0 is running properly.”
Possible Reason:
This is due to the Firebird service is not started.
Solution:
Start the Firebird service. Press the Windows button and type Services.msc or go to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services.
Right click on
Firebird Guardian – Default Instance and click on start button to start the service.
You should be able to login to Payroll system.
