Troubleshooting Payroll: Unable to change employee no in payroll

Question: Why can't I change the Employee No. in payroll?

Possible Reason:

This is due to payroll transaction has been created for this employee.

Solution:

You have to purge payroll the related transaction before changing the Employee No.

1) To purge the transaction, open the related payroll transaction and select on that employee name, right click to choose Purge.

2) Click on <Yes to purge.

You should be able to delete the particular employee now.
