Question: When I try to attach database with data and log file, SQL error message: Login failed. Incorrect password. Why?

Version: 1.8 / 1.9 / 2.0


Possible Reason:

You did not use the default SA Password when installing SQL instance. So now you should use the SA Password that was entered during installation.


Solution:

1) Uncheck use Default Password, and key in your own SA Password.
